Demand Planner – Junior & Senior (France)

For an important international client, we are looking for Demand Planning professionals to join their team in the Paris area.
Mission:
Deliver an accurate demand forecast for the Business unit, leveraging on an effective S&OP+ process in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Trade Marketing and Finance. Drive the local Demand Planning process enabling smarter decisions and orchestrates end-to-end alignment across markets. To be as “One single source of truth” across functions perceiving optimization of critical trade-off as service level vs. cost (product availability vs. opportunity cost / operating efficiency) with capabilities to interpret complex demand patterns and translate data signals into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
• In line with Europe S&OP Plus process guidelines, analyze and forecast future product demand working with Marketing, Trade Marketing, Sales, Operation, Finance teams.
• Own the business cycle based on data analysis, consolidation and agreement with Sales, Marketing, Trade Mkt, and Finance teams.
• Take the “facilitator role” in the DMR and in the top line analysis brought to the Exec S&OP+ meeting.
• Be a change agent to support the continuous improvement approach.
• Integrate the Innovation in the process also to avoid write off/back order for phasing out products.
• Consolidate the Demand risk and opportunities defining actions to support the opportunities and to minimize the risk, supporting Inventory process optimization.
• Identify with Supply Planning the implementation of the appropriate stock coverage strategy maximizing Service Level target, optimizing working capital and ensure a strong focus on continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with other functions (Marketing, Sales, Trade MKT, Finance, Operation, IT at local and global level) to achieve high demand accuracy level supporting a perfect execution in order management and stock allocation.
• S&OP Plus Evangelist including inventory and supply across all levels of the organization empowering the end to end vision.
• Measure the process with standard KPIs (Forecast Accuracy and BIAS) to drive corrective actions plans and empower the process.
Requirements:
Degree from an Engineering or Business School.
Experience in Sales Forecasting and/or Supply Chain within the food industry.
Knowledge of the GMS (large-scale retail) environment.
Strong ability to work with data, with excellent analytical and synthesis skills.
High level of rigour, including meeting deadlines and ensuring the quality of results.
Strong communication skills, including active listening, dialogue and the ability to challenge.
Ability to anticipate, take initiative and work autonomously.
Strong knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables and functions), Power BI, ERP and/or forecasting tools.
Knowledge of a forecasting tool such as IBP.
Fluent English and French are required.
