Job description:
The Lean Manufacturing Specialist leads the deployment and sustainability of the EOS (Excellent Operations System) journey across multiple manufacturing sites. This role requires deep, hands-on expertise in the Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and Progressive/Planned Maintenance (PM) pillars of TPM, combined with the ability to operate effectively across a multisite network. The successful candidate will act as a change agent, capability builder, and pillar coach — driving zero-loss culture and delivering measurable business results.
Key Responsibilities:
EOS & TPM Deployment
• Develop the tactical roadmap to deploy EOS across manufacturing lines and functional areas of the integrated supply chain, in alignment with pillar master plans.
• Lead AM and PM pillar implementation across all assigned sites, ensuring phase progression milestones are met on schedule.
• Support, drive, and lead EOS implementation ensuring effective governance following the PDCA flow, interfacing extensively with all pillars and functions to build capability and eliminate losses.
• Implement EOS tools while building required capability and coordinating with other pillars to guarantee delivery of business results through a High Performance Work System (HPWS) approach.
AM Pillar – Autonomous Maintenance
• Deploy the 7-step AM framework, empowering operators to take ownership of daily care activities: cleaning, inspection, and lubrication (CIL).
• Develop and standardize AM step audit processes, CIL standards, and One-Point Lessons (OPLs) across the multisite network.
• Build operator detection skills and foster a culture of 'I take care of my own machine' across all sites.
• Track AM step progression KPIs and close gaps through structured coaching and pillar governance.
PM Pillar – Progressive / Planned Maintenance
• Champion the PM pillar across sites, delivering results across safety, quality, reliability, efficiency, cost, delivery, and sustainability.
• Drive the transition from reactive to planned and predictive maintenance, leveraging CMMS and condition-based monitoring tools.
• Support technical leaders, planners, and technicians in establishing maintenance priorities and schedules.
• Develop and track PM compliance KPIs: MTBF, MTTR, planned vs. reactive maintenance ratio, and spare parts availability.
Capability Building & Culture
• Drive behavioral change across the supply chain to build a CI/EOS culture, including support functions, through coaching and influencing employees at all levels.
• Coach pillar owners and pillar councils, ensuring a clear understanding of EOS to effectively develop and execute loss elimination plans.
• Provide training on CI tools and techniques; design and deliver capability-building programs tailored to each site's maturity level.
• Promote servant leadership and Gemba Walk practices as core management behaviors.
Governance & Performance
• Establish pillar governance processes to assess and review EOS progress consistently; escalate barriers and correct deviations from plan in a timely manner.
• Track and report site-level KPIs: OEE, AM step progression, PM compliance, loss tree performance, and phase gate milestones.
• Develop the Compelling Business Need (CBN) framework to connect EOS activities to financial and operational outcomes.
• Coordinate multisite benchmarking and best-practice sharing to accelerate the EOS journey network-wide.
Requirements:
5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with strong hands-on knowledge of TPM, and Lean Manufacturing.
Demonstrated ownership of AM and PM pillar implementation — not just exposure — including step-by-step deployment and audit leadership.
Multisite or regional scope experience with proven ability to align cross-site teams toward common CI goals.
Proven track record as a change agent, able to deliver complex capability-building agendas across diverse site cultures.
Strong understanding of make/pack/ship processes and how to leverage them across the total supply chain.
Logical, structured, data-driven thinking to extract insights and solve problems through root cause analysis
