Job Summary
Direct responsibility for the management of IA (Immunoassay) Library, R&D, DHF electronic records system, and other IA R&D information systems.
Strong collaboration with other teams in the definition and development of several tools for knowledge and information management.
Key Accountabilities
Library management
Maintain and constantly update the Library catalog (application design, record cataloguing, vocabulary control)
Provide the document supply service
Manage Information sources and journals subscriptions
Evaluate new information sources to meet IA needs
Train users on bibliographic databases
Design and maintenance of the Current Awareness & Alerting Services
R&D record management
Design and maintenance of records management electronic systems
Provided expertise on best practices for record management and archiving
Control of paper records
R&D Information management
Improve, maintain and validate, processes and tools for information management
Networking/Key relationships
This position requires cooperation with different company departments and teams, especially R&D scientist and managers.
Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:
Education:
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Information and Documentation or similar.
Degree may be substituted by relevant skills and work experience
Valuable:
Any additional degree higher than that required in the previous section
Experience:
Valuable: Previous experience in a similar position in the industry.
Valuable: previous scientific/in vitro diagnostic research experience.
Additional Skills/Knowledge:
Deep knowledge of documental database management, Knowledge of Electronic Record Management, preferably ALFRESCO
Experience customizing digitals tools, with Current Awareness & Alerting Services, information Retrieval and database interrogation.
Knowledge of basic software tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Knowledge of SAP preferred
Language: Fluency in Spanish/Catalan. Fluency in English (reading, speaking and writing)
Valuable: Knowledge of FDA electronic records requirements and Technology.
