About the client: Our client is a major player in the design and manufacturing of assembly, packaging, conditioning, and bagging machines and systems. They implement innovative, scalable solutions to meet the highest industrial standards. As part of their international expansion, they are now strongly developing their footprint to conquer the Iberian market.
Job description: The Technical Sales Engineer will be the spearhead of the packaging activity in Spain and Portugal. Based in Barcelona with frequent travel across the peninsula , and reporting directly to the Sales Director, the main responsibilities will be to:
Identify and win new accounts across the entire Iberian region.
Engage and negotiate with top-tier stakeholders, including Plant Managers, Technical Directors, and Purchasing Managers.
Analyze technical needs, coordinate with the Pre-Sales team for quotes, and confidently defend technical proposals.
Rigorously track ongoing offers and lead client follow-ups until the deal is closed.
Represent the brand at specialized trade fairs and industry events alongside the sales team.
Requirements:
Experience: A solid track record of 7+ years in a similar position, specifically within the industrial machinery or packaging sector.
Mindset & Skills: A result-oriented, "Hunter" profile with a strong commercial drive, high autonomy, and impeccable organizational skills. You must possess a strong technical background and the analytical skills required to understand complex automation challenges.
Languages: Native or professional fluency in Spanish is mandatory. Fluency in either English or French is required for internal communication with the headquarters.
