Job description:
The company is strengthening its global Rare Diseases organisation and is seeking a Corporate Rare Diseases Launch Excellence & Medical Lead to drive the medical strategy and global launch readiness for their Rare Diseases portfolio — including upcoming launches.
This is a high-impact corporate role partnering closely with Medical Affairs, Commercial, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Market Access and affiliates across Europe to ensure successful global execution.
Role Mission
The Corporate Rare Diseases Launch Excellence & Medical Lead will shape and execute the global medical strategy for Rare Diseases, providing scientific leadership, cross-functional alignment, and launch excellence across countries.
Key mission elements include:
- Leading global medical strategy for pipeline and in-market Rare Disease products.
- Ensuring launch excellence and readiness across all affiliates.
- Driving medical insight generation, scientific communication, and evidence generation.
- Building strong global KOL networks and leading advisory boards.
- Supporting BD/M&A evaluations in the Rare Diseases field.
Professional Experience
Required:
≥ 5 years’ experience in Medical Affairs, ideally in Neurology or Rare Diseases.
Proven track record in product launches (minimum 2 years local launch experience; EU experience preferred).
Experience in regional or global roles.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and business acumen.
Experience supporting BD/M&A assessments is an advantage.
Ability to influence affiliates and manage international stakeholders.
Education & Skills
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology).
Advanced degree (MD, PhD, MSc in Neurosciences) preferred.
Languages:
Fluent English required; additional European languages a plus.
