Job description:
The Nutrition Senior Manager is responsible for shaping and driving the company’s nutrition agenda in alignment with strategic business goals. This role bridges nutritional science with corporate strategy, ensuring that product development, regulatory compliance, and consumer engagement are informed by robust nutritional insights and market trends.
Role & Responsibilities:
Strategic Nutrition Leadership
Develop and execute a nutrition strategy that supports the company’s long-term vision and market positioning.
Provide strategic input into product innovation, portfolio planning, and health-focused initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed nutrition into brand and business strategies.
Product Development & Reformulation
Define the nutritional profile and metrics of our products, ensuring alignment with our strategy and regulatory standards.
Support reformulation efforts to improve nutritional value while maintaining taste and quality.
Monitor scientific developments and translate them into strategic opportunities.
Consumer & Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with Marketing and Communications to develop credible, science-based messaging.
Represent the company in external forums, including industry bodies, academic partnerships, and public health initiatives.
Insights & Reporting
Analyse nutrition-related data and trends to inform strategic decisions.
Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Science, or a related discipline (Master’s or PhD preferred).
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a nutrition or health-related role within the food industry. High preference for branded food manufacturer experience.
Proven experience in strategic planning or working within a strategy-focused function.
Strong understanding of food regulations, health claims, and consumer health trends.
High preference for having participated in a definition of a new nutritional strategy and metrics in the previous job experience.
