Job description:
The role focuses on effectively managing the core aspects of compensation within the EMEA region, supporting regional affiliates in developing strategic compensation frameworks that align with the overall HR objectives. The position requires a competent professional who can independently handle various compensation-related projects of moderate complexity.
The Compensation Specialist will take ownership of key compensation functions, ensuring that job positions are accurately evaluated and compensation is structured fairly and competitively. Key duties include:
- Job Evaluation: Conduct job evaluations to assign appropriate pay grades and salary ranges across the EMEA region. Review and validate new positions to ensure that compensation aligns with existing structures.
- Compensation Requests: Analyze internal and external data for compensation change requests and communicate the results to relevant departments.
- Market Analysis: Conduct wage surveys, job pricing, and benchmarking to maintain an updated understanding of market trends, ensuring the company remains competitive in compensation.
- Salary Calculation: Calculate and adjust salary ranges based on benchmark data to ensure alignment with market standards.
- Software Management: Oversee compensation-related software, ensuring that data is up-to-date and aligned with market shifts.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate the job evaluation strategy and compensation philosophy to internal stakeholders to maintain transparency during classification and evaluation discussions.
- Project Support: Contribute to various compensation-related projects within the EMEA region, including the current implementation of the SuccessFactors Variable Pay module.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
- Experience in a compensation-related role.
- Strong proficiency with office applications, particularly databases and spreadsheets, for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to interpret laws, policies, and regulations related to compensation.
- Experience managing projects and coordinating special initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with the ability to present data clearly and effectively.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and independent judgment in solving problems.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, organize workloads, and manage compensation-related projects.
- Capable of working in team settings to support organizational goals.
- Highly skilled in maintaining confidentiality and managing sensitive data with diplomacy.
Travel Requirement:
Certain flexibility to travel, depending on the progression of projects in the EMEA region.
