About the client:
We are working with a leading European specialty pharmaceutical company focused on the treatment of central nervous system disorders (CNS) currently seeking a Corporate Head of AI.
Your Mission:
Define and lead the company’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and corporate priorities, and taking end-to-end ownership of AI-driven value creation across the organization.
Drive the identification, prioritization, orchestration, and delivery of AI use cases, ensuring their successful deployment into production and their measurable impact on business performance.
Leverage the corporate data architecture and governance framework to enable scalable and sustainable AI and advanced analytics initiatives, ensuring that data availability, quality, and consistency support industrialized AI adoption.
Enable AI use consistently across the pharmaceutical value chain, from R&D and regulatory to manufacturing, medical, and commercial, ensuring strict adherence to GxP standards, data integrity principles, and evolving regulatory requirements.
Promote a culture of innovation, data-driven decision-making, and operational excellence, positioning AI as a key enabler of digital transformation and long-term competitive advantage.
Your Major Accountabilities
Accelerate AI adoption across the organization by actively driving the understanding, implementation, and scaling of AI use cases, ensuring business teams effectively leverage AI capabilities to generate measurable value.
Own the end-to-end lifecycle of AI use cases, from ideation and prioritization to development, deployment, and value realization in production environments.
Identify, evaluate, and prioritize AI opportunities across all business functions, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and focusing on initiatives with measurable business impact.
Leverage external partnerships (technology providers, startups, academic institutions) to accelerate AI capabilities and access best-in-class solutions
Orchestrate cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of AI initiatives, acting as the central point of accountability for delivery. Partner closely with IT and digital transformation functions to ensure AI solutions are fully integrated into enterprise systems, scalable infrastructure, and core digital platforms.
Ensure that AI solutions are scalable, reliable, and integrated into existing business processes and systems, supporting long-term adoption and sustainability.
Drive the industrialization of AI capabilities, including the implementation of best practices for model development, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management (MLOps – Machine Learning Operations).
Establish governance and controls for AI usage, ensuring compliance with internal policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
Continuously evaluate emerging AI technologies and trends, identifying opportunities to enhance business performance and maintain competitive advantage.
Own the measurement and tracking of AI-driven value, ensuring clear linkage between AI initiatives and financial and operational performance (e.g., revenue growth, cost efficiencies, productivity gains).
We Would Like You To Have
8–10+ years of experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI), advanced analytics, or data-driven transformation roles, with proven experience delivering AI solutions in business environments.
Strong experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry, with understanding of the end-to-end value chain (R&D, clinical development, regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and commercial operations).
Strong track record in defining, prioritizing, and delivering AI use cases from concept to production, including measurable business impact.
Solid understanding of machine learning (ML – Machine Learning), predictive analytics, statistical modeling techniques and AI applications in pharma.
Experience in leading cross-functional teams and operating in complex organizational environments, combining business, data, and technology perspectives.
Familiarity with modern AI technologies and platforms, including exposure to Generative AI (GenAI – Generative Artificial Intelligence) capabilities and their application in business contexts.
Experience working with MLOps (Machine Learning Operations) practices, ensuring scalability, monitoring, and lifecycle management of AI models in production.
Hands-on familiarity with modern data and AI technology stacks, including Cloud platforms, Data platforms, ML frameworks, Data engineering tools
Experience with enterprise AI and analytics/BI platforms
Knowledge of pharma-specific systems and data environments is highly valuable
Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative or analytical discipline.
Advanced degrees or postgraduate studies in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Business Analytics, or similar fields are highly valued.
Language: Fluent English is a must and Spanish/ German desirable
