Purchasing Specialist
Join Werfen as a Purchasing Specialist in Lliçà d'Amunt, Barcelona. You will be responsible for negotiating, streamlining suppliers, and ensuring on-time, cost-efficient procurement.

JOB SUMMARY
Purchasing Specialist ensures that the items and services to manufacture our IVD Solutions are
purchased from specified suppliers and are delivered according to the agreed terms and
conditions. As well is in charge to negotiate the rates with the service freight suppliers and
control the imports transit.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Runs reports in SAP to help determine purchase requests for expense items. For inventory items, generates purchase orders based on reorder points set in inventory management system. Periodically reviews reorder points to ensure they are adequate.
• Creates purchase orders from purchase requisitions
• Issues purchase orders to suppliers and confirm delivery date, quantity ordered and price are correct.
• Maintains vendor relationships ensuring best pricing and order preference is received
• Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
• Period conference Call with suppliers in order to follow the projects on going.
• Data entry and filing paperwork.
• Maintains procurement records monitoring the deliveries, detecting any delay and solving the situation with vendors to avoid customer backorders.
• Responds to inquiries from a variety of internal and external sources for the purpose of providing information, direction and/or appropriate referrals.
• Participates in department meetings, exhibitions, workshops, etc. for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions.
• Coordination with warehouse and planning department
• Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:
• Education:
o Required: Ciclo Formativo de Grado Superior in in any related subject with the supply chain area.
o Valuable: Any additional degree higher than that required in the previous section.
• Experience: Professional experience is required, minimum of 5 years in a similar position.
• Additional Skills/Knowledge:
o Software: Fluency in Office Tools (Excel & Word), Valuable Advanced knowledge in SAP.
o Language: Fluency in Spanish or Catalan. Medium knowledge of English (reading, writing and speaking).
