Engineering Project Manager

Job description:
Based in Spain, Miajadas, the selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Defining, managing and executing the budget for technical investments of the factory of Miajadas and being part of the European Engineering department
- Manage projects in other European factories as for business needs or professional opportunities. (not in the first 2-3 years in which the person will be focused on the Miajadas factory)
- Designing and implementing the industrial structure responding to business strategy and aligned with industrial management.
- Being a technical guide and part of the digitalization processes of production processes, implementing the environmental and energetical sustainability strategy defined by the Engineering & Sustainability departments.
- Identifying and implementing efficiency projects in a continuous improvement process initiated in the Operations area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the technical projects assigned by the direct manager with the use of specific processes and tools of the project management methodology to achieve the performance objective in terms of quality, budget, and timing.
- Define the technical specifications and requirements of each project you are involved in, in order to request offers to suppliers and analyze them from a technical and economic point of view.
- Manage commercial negotiations of technical systems (count with the support of the purchasing department if needed)
- Manage administrative tasks of projects in terms of: CAPEX request, purchase order, billing verification, etc.
- Operate with a continuous improvement perspective when defining and implementing efficiency projects and/or waste reduction personally identified or assigned by the direct manager, as well as technically support efficiency projects of other functions.
- Support factories in the implementation of the ongoing digitization process and manage OT (operational technology) issues.
- Design new and modify existing plants for sustainable engineering in terms of environmental impact and energy efficiency (reduction of consumption and CO2 footprint), as for the CO2 zero emission roadmap of our Sustainability department.
- Manage or be part of cross-functional project teams with a project organization and not a matrix organization structure.
- Participate in the development of a multi-year plan to ensure the performance of existing industrial assets and the technical and technological development of European factories.
Requirements:
- Engineering Degree
- Previous experience in engineering projects, at least 5 years in a similar position. Experience in Food & Beverage is a plus.
- Mastery of project management methodology
- Experience in digitalizing production processes and being familiar with the world of SCADA and MES for traceability and performance measurement (OEE) activities.
- Knowledge of methodologies related to continuous improvement (TPM -Lean-Six Sigma).
- Availability to travel across Europe
- Professional proficiency level in English
