Our Client:
Our client is a growing logistics company. They specialize in road transport, with plans to expand into air and sea freight in the future. Their goal is to grow and scale their operations across Spain, with a vision to add new branches and diversify their services.
Position Overview:
The General Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the Madrid office and warehouse, overseeing the team, and driving business growth. This is a dynamic role that offers a clear career progression as the company expands its footprint across Spain and into other transport modes (air and sea). Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all operational activities of the Madrid office and warehouse.
- Lead and supervise the local team, ensuring efficient processes and high standards of service delivery.
- Drive the business development strategy to expand operations across Spain, including opening new branches.
- Identify opportunities to diversify transport services by adding air and sea freight to the company’s portfolio.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies in all operational aspects.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track growth and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with international teams and implement best practices from other markets.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5-8 years of experience in the road transport/logistics industry.
- Proven experience managing a small team in an operational environment.
- Previous experience working outside Spain is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to grow a business and scale operations.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Highly motivated and entrepreneurial mindset, with a desire to grow the business.
- Experience in or strong understanding of both road transport and other modes (air, sea).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
